It can be really diffucult to gain mass
A few months ago, I started my own workout program. I still stick to it, but my motivationm has changed a little bit since that time. When I was a complete beginner, I thought that I would see the first results after two or three months. But unfortunately, it turned out that it was impossible on my case. I thought that maybe something was wrong. I decided to take some supplements like creatine and increase the amount of protein in my diet, but I could not gain mass anyway. A friend of mine, who is a physiotherapist, explained it to me in the following way. Some people are born with more low-twitch muscles which means that they are better at disciplines that require endurance, not speed or strength. This is true for me, I have never liked sprints or football. I prefer swimming or long-distance running. But on the other hand, I want to look more muscular as well. Is it really impossible to develop some parts of your muscles? I have read an interesting book recently. The author says you can actually change your muscle type a bit though proper training and eating enough protein. But I am fully aware I will never look like any of these guys that I see at the gym every day. Well, I will do my best to gain mass, but I don"t need to be perfect, do I?
